Entry Requirements
Who can apply to Melanesian Training College, what you need to submit, and how the process works.
Melanesian Training College admits school leavers, non-school leavers and working adults. What you need depends on the level of the qualification you are applying for.
Minimum entry by qualification
| Qualification | Minimum entry |
|---|---|
| Trade programs — National Certificate Level 1 and Level 2 | Grade 10 |
| Certificate IV | Grade 12 |
| Diploma | Grade 12 |
Non-school leavers are considered on merit. If you have been out of school for years, or you are already working in the field you are applying for, say so in your application. Relevant work experience counts.
What to submit with your application
- Your most recent school certificate or statement of results
- A form of identification
- A passport-sized photograph
- A sponsorship or employer letter, if someone else is paying your fees
- Evidence of relevant work experience, if you are applying as a non-school leaver
Study modes
Every trade and business program is offered in both day and boarding mode. Day students make their own living arrangements; boarding students live on campus at Togoba. The course content is identical.
A separate catalogue of courses is delivered entirely online through the college learning platform.
